Compassion

Compassion, a deep, benevolent caring that often arises out of sorrow, is so needed in our world today. Living amidst the chaos of ongoing crises that rack humanity and devastate our planet, it is easy to feel alienated, to withdraw, to narrow one’s focus in order to numb oneself and to cease to see and experience the pain. The ability to feel compassion is part of the grace of being human. Feeling sorrow and compassion, both for one’s own suffering, as well as that of others, is an essential step to liberation and the founding of a new world. This alchemical essence can awaken, and sustain, compassion in us so that we can play the part required of us in creating a positive future.
